We are located within ½ mile of the Greenbrier River Trail, making us an ideal home base for cyclists, hikers, and outdoor enthusiasts. Many guests ride directly from our property to the trail.

Do you offer shuttle service for the Greenbrier River Trail?

Yes. We offer shuttle service to all points along the Greenbrier River Trail, as well as round-trip shuttle options to Cass Scenic Railroad, Green Bank Observatory and Snowshoe Mountain (availability based on schedule). This makes trail riding simple and stress-free.

Are you bike-friendly?

Very much so. We offer:

Guests can choose a traditional B&B experience or a more private cabin stay.

Is breakfast included?

Yes. All stays include a complimentary homemade American breakfast, prepared fresh for our guests.

Do you have an on-site restaurant or pub?

Yes. We feature an on-property pub and restaurant with indoor and outdoor dining, making it easy to relax and enjoy great food without leaving the property after a day of adventure.

Are you close to Snowshoe Mountain & other Attactions?

Yes. We are approximately 45 minutes from Snowshoe Mountain Resort, 30 minutes from Green Bank Observatory and 40 minutes from Cass Scenic Railroad.

How do I book a stay?

You can book directly through our website or contact us for assistance with group stays, shuttle service, or special requests.

What is your cancellation policy?

We understand that plans can change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair to both our guests and our small, locally owned business.

  • Full refund for cancellations made 14 days or more prior to the scheduled arrival date.

  • Cancellations within 14 days of arrival are non-refundable; however, a stay credit/refund will be issued for the following circumstances:

    • Hospitalization or serious medical emergency

    • Severe weather conditions that make travel unsafe

Any approved credit will be issued for the amount paid and may be applied to a future stay.

What qualifies as severe weather?

Severe weather includes major snowstorms, flooding, or other conditions that result in road closures or official travel advisories affecting access to Marlinton or our property.

How do stay credits work?

  • Approved credits are valid for a future stay within 12 months of the original arrival date.

  • Credits are not transferable and have no cash value.

  • Credits must be used by contacting us directly at the time of rebooking.

What if I need to cancel at the last minute?

If an unexpected emergency arises within two weeks of your stay, please contact us as soon as possible. We handle these situations with care and review each request individually.

Why do you have a two-week cancellation window?

As a small B&B, last-minute cancellations are difficult to rebook, especially during peak seasons. This policy allows us to continue providing personalized service, quality accommodations, and fair pricing for all guests.

Are you pet-friendly?

Yes. Locust Hill is pet-friendly in the cabin but not in the B&B. We welcome well-behaved pets so guests can enjoy their stay without leaving furry family members behind.

Is there a pet fee?

Yes. A $45 dollar pet fee applies per stay to help cover additional cleaning. Select at Check-out. 

What are the pet requirements?

To ensure a comfortable experience for all guests:

  • Pets must be well-behaved and house-trained

  • Pets may not be left unattended in the cabin

  • Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pets

What if my pet causes damage?

  • Guests are responsible for any damages or excessive cleaning resulting from their pet. Additional charges may apply if needed.
